13th day

The banana ice cream was a hit! I tasted it too.

Here's the recipe for this delicious dish:

Broccoli with tomatosauce and mushrooms

- broccoli
- can if crushed tomatos
- onions; 2 small regular ones
- mushrooms
- avocado
- hemp seeds
- garlic; 2 loafs
- spices; here again Kalahari salt, Greek herb mix and black pepper
- coconut oil

1. Heat the coconut oil in a wok pan.
2. Add the chopped onions, spices and hemp seeds and wok them until the onions are nice golden color.
3. Add the chopped broccoli, continue to roll them over.
4. Add the crushed tomato and garlic.
5. I fried the mushrooms in a different pan and added them last.
6. Check the flavor and enjoy!

My wok pan is awesome (OBH Nordica) and it's a nice color too; tomato red. I'm gonna test the food tomorrow. Today I ate only soy yoghurt and an avocado and a pear for dinner. Wasn't that hungry.

Between the detoxing

I also have an addiction to lip balms, lipsticks and lip glosses... I have to have many lip balms lying around the house and inside pockets if my bags and coats. I noticed that the winter and this detoxing  makes my lips to dry and crack even more so I started to eat vitamin B and again.

While I was shopping at Pür (see the post earlier) I simply couldn't resist the bowl at the counter... There it was: organic orange and ginger lip balm. Magic it says and it is! The best addiction buy ever!

Ps. The sour morning smoothie I posted yesterday really wakes you up!

12th day - still going strong

Yesterday and today was pretty much the same routine as usual. I wass at the Next Step fair today and  bought a salad to go from Pasila's K-market. It was actually a pleasant surprise: I got to choose from two different bases the regular iceberg salad and iceberg mixed with red cabbage and carrot, I chose the latter. Then I had to choose four ingredients from the regular feta, grilled chicken etc. stuff.  I chose artichokes, mushrooms, onion and cashew peanuts and as a dressing plain olive oil. I know that the ingredients may not be organic, but the other choice would've been the smoothie which I had a week ago and I wanted to have something chewable.

As for tomorrow I decided to do different smoothies than before.

For the morning I chose:

-berry mix (strawberry, rasberry and currant) although I'm a bit allergic tho strawberries and currants, but usually frozen ones have been ok
-apple
-hemp seeds; they contain lot of protein and Cocovi is the brand to go.
-a hint of organic honey to smoothen the bitterness

And the detox green smoothie:

-holy basil extract (1/4 teaspoon)
-pear
-celery
-spinach
-salad, dark green one

The latter one tasted really refreshing and I would recommed that to everyone! Today I had a green smoothie with hemp seed, because I wans't sure about the lunch yet.

My aunt from Kuopio is visiting us with my parents tomorrow and I'm gonna make the banana ice cream I found from Ruohonjuuri's Facebook page:

Super easy banana ice cream

10th day - Visited Pür.

Yesterday was again a seminar day; this time at Tampere. I was eating only smoothies and then some Greek wineleaf rolls at home with hummus. My boss told me today that I look more radiant and my colleague said that I'm leaner, which is nice. :) Obviously effective! And still going strong.

I had my morning smoothie and then at work I ate rest of the warm tofu and chili bean salad and some unsalted peanuts for a snack. After work I visited a new raw food and green health shop at Kamppi called Pür: http://www.pur-kauppa.fi/ . The shop has been there a while, but I haven't got myself to go there. Today I visited there and found new stuff.

Holy Basil Extract, which is basically same as tulsi:
http://perhosjahti.blogspot.fi/2011/11/tulsi-yrttien-kuningatar.html . It's Ayurvedic herb and very strong. I decided to add it to my morning smoothie to increase detoxing.

I also bought red organic quinoa for my food and some hemp seeds to increase proteins to my food. It's gym day tomorrow!

8th day - tofu - chili bean day!

Normal routines except that I forgot to add the coconut oil to my morning smoothie... Oh well, it's Sunday!

Then I got to the grocery store and this happened:

Warm tofu - chili bean salad

- salad, I used red Salanova salad
- tofu, I used flavored organic tofu and made it rest in soy-oilmix a while. I also added some ref curry paste to it, just a half a spoonful.
- organic canned chili beans
- cauliflower, crushed

1. Fry the marinated tofu and pour it into a kettle
2. Add chili beans and let it boil slowly, add salt if needed, I used Kalahari of course.
3. Pile up the salad and the crushed cauliflower into a plate.
4. Spoon the tofu - bean mix on the top of the salad and cauliflower.
5. Decorate and enjoy.

I also threw in two slices of goatcheese, which is not necessary especially when you're totally vegan. I'm half :D need to find the replacement to cheese first.
